Montibeller Park Description
Review Out of Date
Montibeller Park is undergoing an upgrade with a new pavilion and pathways. We will add it to our list to update when construction is completed. We visited on July 1, 2022 and the pavilion is still under construction. Camp was at the playgrounds so we were not able to update our photos.
The playgrounds are not a major part of the upgrade, but we will check for any changes as we visit.
We used to frequent Montibeller Park when my daughter was younger, but it has fallen out of favor in recent years. When my daughter was younger, we visited a playground almost every night after dinner. Over the years, we added our own play structure and began meeting friends at other playgrounds that were more centrally located. However, my daughter remembered Montibeller (or more specifically the park we used to go to a lot but don’t go to anymore) and requested to profile it this week.
I love that Montibeller has two structures. The first structure (closer to the parking lot) is quite tall with a climbing wall that my daughter loves. It also features numerous tunnels to crawl through. Even though the structure is quite tall, she used to beg for help to climb the rock wall to the top.
The second structure is considerably lower and perfect for younger kids. However, with monkey bars, a zip line, and balance elements, it still has features that appeal to older kids. As a young kid, my daughter loved crawling through all the tunnels and playing with the number spinners.
Back when my daughter was younger, there was a metal standalone slide near the swings. I didn’t mention it in our 2017 profile and it is definitely gone when I visited to update in 2022.
Events at Montibeller Park
Montibeller Park is host to Pittsfield Township Day Camp in the summer. It is also a frequent host of township and other events especially their annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Beyond Montibeller Park
Montibeller Park is located on Ellsworth Road. It is accessible from many neighborhoods on Ellsworth east of Carpenter. It is an easy walk along sidewalks from the Meijer and Target shopping center. I have parked at Meijer and walked over for large events like the Pittsfield Township Easter Egg hunt when my daughter was a preschooler.
