Arbor Annie’s Highlights of Children’s Events Near You This Week
It’s Art Fair Week. Tuesday night is Dart for Art and Paint the Town. Then Art Fair starts on Thursday.
With Art Fair this week, there is no Sonic Lunch. But there are concerts at Art Fair, and other concerts are happening like the Ann Arbor Civic Band Concert and shows outside town like Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights in Chelsea and Live from Tolan Square in MIlan,
The local libraries are hopping all summer long! Between the AADL Summer Game and lots of activities, YDL’s activities (and free lunches twice a week), and fun at Dexter and Saline, there’s almost too much to list (check the lists below). Check out Painting with Pasta at AADL-Westgate or DIY Giant Beaded Gecko Craft at Dexter Library on Monday, Tuesday is KPop Demon Hunters Party! at Dexter or make Terracotta Warriors with Lyla Wang at AADL-Downtown. Wednesday join Saline District Library for Science Club: Bugs on Wheels. Head to AADL-Malletts Creek on Thursday for Author Event | Melissa DiVietri and CoCo. Then on Friday, make your own art at Tie Dye with Dawn Henry (AADL Library Friends) or Artsy Afternoon at Saline Library. Or join Dexter District Library for Dino Academy: A Dinosaur Discovery Show with Bright Star Touring Theatre.
Join Ann Arbor Parks for Boat Building on Monday. or Nature Play on Thursday. The Ann Arbor Farmers Market is busy on Wednesday – Join AADL at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market during the market, then head back for dinner at the Third Wednesday Food Truck Rally
Matthaei Botanical Gardens is celebrating Snake Week with Nature Play Pop Ups, walks, and Live Encounters and Exploration with UM Museum of Zoology
It’s always hot Art Fair Week. This week’s heat is before Art Fair, with the worst day being Tuesday. Of course that is the Art Fair kick-off events – Dart for Art/Paint the Town. Hot summer days, call for a trip to the pool or water park.
Thunder Over Michigan Air Show starts Friday afternoon.
Or see Center Stage Productions show Pandemonium starting on Friday night.
Enjoy a date night Friday night with Cats and Kids.
