Ann Arbor Area Farmers Markets

Farmers Market Guide

Spread the love

As we enter the growing season, there are usually tons of Ann Arbor Farmers Markets popping up. Most of the farmers markets are continuing some of their 2021 precautions – at least to start the 2021 Farmers Market Season. These precautions may make a farmers market outing less fun for the kids as shoppers are encouraged not to linger and limit the size of the shopping group.

Farmers Market Changes for 2021

For 2021, many of the markets still list mask requirements on their website despite an easing of mask requirements outdoors and for those who are fully vaccinated. We encourage everyone to still wear masks when you cannot socially distance. As a small closely spaced market, Dexter is limiting the number of shoppers at a time. In general samples are not allowed, hand sanitization is recommended, and limiting touch.

Additionally, many markets are continuing to offer the pre-order for pickup that they started in 2020.

Entertainment like musical acts, cooking demonstrations, and food truck rallies are severely limited in 2021.

Closed Farmers Markets

Cobblestone Farm Market

The Cobblestone Farm Market is over. They announced their closure in mid-February of 2020. We decided to leave it in the article for 2021 in case people didn’t realize they were permanently closed.

After 8 seasons of family fun and local food celebration, the market committee has decided to close for the 2020 season. We want to thank you all for supporting the market over the years and helping to build such a fulfilling community experience.

The market was started to increase local food access and build community and we’re happy to see that both areas have grown with Cobblestone and beyond.

Cobblestone Farm Market

In the comments of the Facebook announcement, they clarified that this is a permanent closure.

Cobblestone Farm Market was held on Tuesdays from 4-7p at Cobblestone Farm from late spring through fall. In addition to food available in the market, they typically have activities each week (many for children) as well as live entertainment. Cobblestone Farm is part of Buhr Park. It’s address is 2781 Packard Ave.
