Ann Arbor Area Farmers Markets

Farmers Market Guide

As we enter the growing season, there are usually tons of Ann Arbor Farmers Markets popping up. This year, the Farmers Markets are opening more slowly and with additional restrictions.

The article will include both the Farmers Markets currently open and those that are not open. In 2021, we will re-evaluate whether to remove farmers markets that are still not operating.

Farmers Market Changes for 2020

For 2020, there will be some changes at Farmers Markets to promote social distancing and keep everyone safe from COVID-19.

Some markets are allowing less vendors to enable booths to be setup further apart.

The general rules:

  • Social Distancing of 6′ maintained in market
  • No socializing at the market
  • No samples
  • No handling products
  • Pre-order options available for pickup

Many markets are opening with just a pre-order pickup model and then transitioning to also allowing in market shopping.

I do not expect to see events like cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, or food truck rallies, until late summer at the earliest.

Closed Farmers Markets

Cobblestone Farm Market

The Cobblestone Farm Market is over. In mid-February the team decided to discontinue their Farmers Market.

After 8 seasons of family fun and local food celebration, the market committee has decided to close for the 2020 season. We want to thank you all for supporting the market over the years and helping to build such a fulfilling community experience.

The market was started to increase local food access and build community and we’re happy to see that both areas have grown with Cobblestone and beyond.
