Marshview Meadows Park Description

Marshview Meadows Park was torn out and completely replaced in Summer 2025. They announced their reopening on June 11 which is the day we visited.

The renovated playground has 3 separate areas. A play area for younger kids, one for older kids, and a gym area geared towards teens and adults (although I saw some kids using the equipment).

Gone are the old structures with tubes to crawl through connecting each play structure. The new play areas are less play structure and more a series of connected climbing activities, different bars or traversing elements, and stand alone slides. The park also went from 9 slides to 3.

The play area for younger children includes a net ladder climber, rock wall, short slide, and balance activities. On the plus side, the new structure is much more open making it easier to see your children without the tubes and walls on the structure.

The older child play area is a similar “set”structure” of connected elements with a climber dome and standalone double racer slide. The kids will have a real upper body workout with several different types of monkey bars, fixed loops, and rings.

The 2025 renovation added an exercise area. While not designed for kids, there were kids using it with a parent. It’ll be a perfect spot for your teens while younger siblings play. There are sit up stations, a rope climb, pull up bars, knee lift stations, and more.

Marshview Meadows Playground - Exercise Area

We have been visiting Marsh View Meadows Playground for years. Mosquitos can be bad due to the proximity of the playground to the marshy areas. Day time trips are better than evening trips. However, our most recent visit was about 7:30p and had no mosquito issues.

If you use the walking trails, be sure to check your children carefully for ticks – they can be bad in the summer.

The Pavilion is a great place for a group gathering. My daughter’s preschool rented it every year for a Back to School Picnic and I recently returned for a graduation party. The pavilion and structure were perfect for families and nearby bathrooms are a plus for all. The only downside is the parking lot is a bit small for a large gathering of 50+ families.

Train tracks run to the east of the parks. Sometimes you’ll get to see a train go past.

Events at Marshview Meadows Park

Playgrounds were replaced and reopened in June 2025. The new structures focus more on risky play with climbing and bar elements. They’ve also added an exercise area.

Pittsfield Township has held some of their annual events at Marsh View Meadows. Past events have included fall hayrides. The small parking lot limits their ability to hold events there.
