Event Description

Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video is a complex political and artistic statement. Vince Tripi, a public historian with Expanding Horizons, will guide you on a deep dive into the themes of identity, queerness, and literature. The presentation will include a group viewing of a music video, after which Vince will discuss the various aspects of the “born this way” school of identity.

About Vince

Vince Tripi is a public historian, educator, and founder of Expanding Horizons, which creates accessible LGBTQ+ history exhibits shown across the Midwest. A Milwaukee Pride board member since 2017, he curates PrideFest’s history exhibit and leads community-focused programming. An award-winning instructional designer and LGBTQ+ advocate, Vince blends rigorous research with engaging storytelling to bring overlooked queer histories to public life.
