Wilson Park Description
Put Milan’s Wilson Park on your to-visit list. They added a splash pad in 2021. The park also has two pavilions, a play structure, and a great play area for tots.
The park is great for young kids who don’t like tall structures. There is a whole separate play area for tots that is all ground based. They can explore the clubhouse, check out the bouncers, or dig in the sandbox.

For me, the highlight of this area was the crawl-through tunnels. They are perfect for a tot who hasn’t quite mastered walking – no stairs to climb, but they can feel like they’re on the playground.

By contrast the big structure is quite tall. There are several fun ways to climb it. Two of the slides are wavy – not quite straight, not quite a curved slide. The structure has a zip line, and islands to climb across.

I visited on a day that was 90+ degrees, so the splash pad was definitely a draw. It definitely looked refreshing, but I had not planned to visit, so was not dressed to get wet. There are a number of overhead sprayers and some bubblers. I love the elephant shooting water from his trunk. A splash pad is definitely something that is missing at playgrounds in and closer to Ann Arbor.

The splash pad operates daily from 10a-8p from Memorial Day to Labor Day (weather permitting)
