Washtenaw County Halloween Events

Personally, this year I am going to miss the Family Halloween Party at the UM Museum of Natural History. I am hoping that it returns when the museum reopens next year in their new location.

A2 Montessori is holding a Halloween celebration for babies at their new location. There will be nursing tea, coffee, and light spooky refreshments for the adults. Learn about their Mommy & Me Classes and meet other new parents.

Ann Arbor Baby Beginnings  is hodligna fun FREE Halloween Fun Moms Group. There will be light snacks and coffee. You can bring your baby in costume. You an make a Halloween handprint or footprint craft. Local photographer Julie Morrison will be there taking pictures and offering a digital file and 2 4x6 prints for $30.

🎃Crafternoon - Little Monsters

Haunts for Hunger – 755 Kuehnle St Ann Arbor
Time: 5:30pm-9:00pm
Cost: Food Donation
Join the fun at Haunts for Hunger, a haunted house started by 2 Ann Arbor high schoolers in 2014 to raise donations to combat hunger and food insecurity. A donation of one food item per person is requested as admission. The haunted house is geared towards ages 7+, with some scares a bit more intense than others. They offer two versions - an actor free spooky time from 5:30-7p and a Scary time from 7:30-9p

  Celebrate Halloween at IHOP with a Free Scary Face Pancake for kids 12 & under. The offer is valid from 7a-10p. We have visited many times over the years. I think we'll have to return this year - it's my daughters last year to qualify.

Participating downtown businesses will have trick or treat from 9a-4p. Then from 1-4p, the Dexter Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses will hold Trick or Treat in Monument Park

Downtown Branch of AADL – 343 South Fifth Avenue Ann Arbor
Time: 10:00am-10:30am

Halloween Party! at the Downtown Branch of AADL. The event is officially listed for preschool-grade 3 (although my daughter attended at 10 months and 22 months). I love this event as a kick off to the Main Street Treat Parade.  There are two parties with the second event at 11:30a.

Halloween Treat Parade The Main Street Area Association will hold their 17th annual Halloween Treat Parade on Halloween from 11a-5p. Stop by participating businesses to trick or treat (the list of businesses will be added to the Main Street Area Association's website).  Before the Halloween Treat Parade starts, the Downtown Branch of Ann Arbor District Library typically holds a Halloween Party.  The Halloween Treat Parade was my favorite Ann Arbor Halloween activity when my daughter was younger. We trick or treated each year from the time she was 10 months old through Kindergarten (She was the last year of half-day Kindergarten). I loved trick or treating on Main ….

Stop by the Candy Safety Check on Halloween Night. Pittsfield Township Public Safety will be onsite to check and make sure that each bag of goodies is safe!  

🎃Halloween Wind Down and Candy Checks

UAW Hall – 601 Woodland Drive Saline
Time: 7:00pm-8:30pm
Cost: Free
Oakwood Church is holding a Halloween Wind Down at the UAW Hall. They will have free cider, donuts, and coffee. There will be photo opportunities and games for kids. The Saline Police will be there doing candy safety checks.

🎃The Great Pumpkin Roll

Mill Pond Park – 565 W. Bennett St Saline

Cost: Free
Join Saline Recreation for The Great Pumpkin Roll and race your Jack-O-Lanterns at Mill Pond Park in their 13th Annual Great Pumpkin Roll. Winners will receive prizes. Three will be cider, donuts, and lots of fun. Waste Management will have an antique truck onsite for the kids. The event is FREE and no registration is needed.
