This profile of Buhr Park is part of our Summer Series Tuesday Playground Profiles
Each week Ann Arbor with Kids is profiling a different playground in the Ann Arbor area including Ann Arbor, Saline, Ypsilanti, Dexter, etc. Today we are profiling the playground at Buhr Park. Lots of people drive by it on the way to Buhr Park Pool, sports fields, and the Cobblestone Farmers Market, but is it worth stopping at the playground too?
Buhr Park
Ann Arbor’s Buhr Park is a large park, but it’s playground is relatively small. The park is better known for it’s pool, outdoor ice arena (in winter), sports fields, and Cobblestone Farm. But, don’t overlook the playground.

Buhr Park Playground Review
Over the years we have spent a lot of time at Buhr Park including swimming and soccer games. Our first visit to the playground was when my daughter was a toddler. We planned a playgroup outing to Tot Splash at the pool and temperatures barely made it into the 60s.
The playground is surrounded by large trees providing shade through most of the day. There was a lot of shade when we visited in the morning.
Events at Buhr Park include the Cobblestone Farm Market (May-October), Tot Splash (June-Labor Day), Splash Days (Summer), Ice Skating (Winter), and more:
