The 2023-2024 Ypsilanti Community Schools calendar is available now. The Ypsilanti School Calendar for 2023-2024 has yet to be released, but some information is currently available.
2023-2024 Ypsilanti Community Schools Calendar
Ypsilanti Community Schools Start Date
School starts Monday, August 28. Washtenaw Intermediate School District received a waiver for all the constituent school districts to start before Labor Day.
The YCS Preschools will start on Tuesday, September 5.
Ypsilanti Community Schools Last Day of School 2024
We have not seen the full 2023-2024 calendar for Ypsilanti Community Schools.
The 2022-2023 school year ended with a half-day on Monday, June 12. The school year can be extended if there are too many snow days or other lost days.
Ypsilanti Community Schools Winter Break 2023
Thanksgiving is not included in the county Breaks schedule. However, like Ann Arbor Public Schools they typically have off Wednesday-Friday for Thanksgiving (November 22-24).
Washtenaw Intermediate School District announced the dates for Winter and Spring Break through 2026 for all constituent districts.
Ypsilanti’s Winter Break runs from Saturday, December 23-Sunday, January 7.
Leading into winter break 2022 both Wednesday, December 21 and Thursday, December 22 were half-days. We will watch for the 2023-2024 calendar to see if they have half days before winter break.
Ypsilanti Schools Spring Break 2024
Ypsilanti Community Schools Spring Break starts after school on March 22. Students return from break on Monday, April 1. Last year, the Wednesday and Thursday before break (March 22 and 23) were half-days, but Friday was a full day. We will watch for the 2023-2024 calendar.

2023-2024 YCS Calendar
The 2023-2024 calendar has not been fully released yet. Winter and Spring Break are set. The first day of school for 2023-2024 is up in the air. From the Washtenaw Intermediate School District’s website it appears that the pre-Labor Day waiver ended with 2022-2023.
We have included the winter and spring breaks set by the county schools schedule. We have also suggested probable days off based on prior years schedule.
The YCS school calendar will be finalized by the board of education for Ypsilanti Community Schools.
