Event Description

Join UM Museum of Natural History for a Family Day as they explore movement under the microscope

There are 30 trillion cells in the human body – more than stars in the Milky Way galaxy – and they are always moving.

You can meet UM Scientists to learn about their research. Try moving like a cell does. Learn what trains have to do with cellular locomtion. Find out what makes up a protein. You can get crafty with origami. Watch a screening of “Movement Under the Microscope” a cell-ebratory performance featuring UM students.

Past Family Days were geared towards kids ages 5-12 with their adult caregivers.
