Youth ages 5-18 and their families are invited to drop in and play chess this winter.

If you’re new to chess, you can play Dinosaur Chess on the iPads to learn how the pieces move or play with a teen volunteer.

Each month they’ll play the following schedule:

• Week 1 – Mini Lesson & Casual Play
• Week 2 – Rated Games with Clock Play
• Week 3 – Mini Lesson & Casual Play
• Week 4 – Chess Puzzles & Casual Play

Regular attendees qualify for a free US Chess membership and will be rated at mini tournaments, thanks to the Toyota Foundation’s support of Project STEM @ YDL. Email jodi@ypsilibrary.org for more information.
