The Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival at Leslie Science & Nature Center brings together organizations from across Ann Arbor & Washtenaw County for one large celebration. The festival is Sunday, April 19 from 12-4:30p at Leslie Science & Nature Center.

This free, family-friendly event features displays; hands-on activities; live entertainment; green building and commuting technologies; energy topics; water awareness; sustainable agriculture; and more. In the spirit of Earth Day, it is a Zero Waste event. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and put waste in the proper containers

Highlights
- noon- A reading of “One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia” by Miranda Paul, followed by an activity led by the local nonprofit Black Men Read
- 2:30p – All Species Parade. Children are encouraged to wear costumes of their favorite plant or animal
- 3p – Live performance by local singer, songwriter, and educator Joe Reilly
- Live animal experiences featuring amphibians, reptiles & birds of prey
- Macroinvertebrate exploration with Huron River Watershed
- Interactive Learning Booths & activities for families and adults.
- The Office of Sustainability and Innovations will have a variety of family-friendly, community building expereinces at the Energy House including a pop-up clothing swap.

Pop-Up Clothing Swap
You may bring up to 10 items of clothing in good condition. You can take items without bringing itemsm or bring items without taking any. You can also bring accessories like bags, jewelry, and belts.
