Nature Park Description

As I pulled up to Milan Nature Park, the Dinosaur peeking over the structure immediately caught my attention. Upon closer observation, I realized the dino is actually stairs to the structure. This structure is very toddler friendly with the stairs and low slides. The park also has 4 baby swings for kids not quite ready to swing on their own (plus 2 regular swings).

The Dino theme continues with a dinosaur bouncer. There is also a see-saw that can seat 4.

Beyond the dinosaur, the next thing that struck me was just how many slides there are at Nature Park. There are a total of NINE slides! There are 5 on the dinosaur structure – two tube slides, a side by side racer, and a single slide. The second structure adds 3 more that are a bit taller. – two side by side and an even taller slide. Finally, there is a stand alone twisty slide.

Milan Nature Park - Smaller Structure

Not only is there a standalone slide, there is also a set of standalone monkey bars. Their circular design are perfect for kids who want to see how many times they can go around – or to race each other from either end.

The focal point of the pavilion at Nature Park is a large fireplace. On my visit there was ash left from previous visitors – just make sure any fire you make is fully out before leaving. The pavilion has numerous picnic tables and is available for rent.

If you walk through the open field, you will find a still pond from the Saline River. While the river is right there, it is not a great spot for wading in.
