In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of shuttle tatting, including making rings and chains, joins, and picots.
In addition to the materials used in this 3 hour instructor-led class, the price of this workshop includes an illustrated handout, a tatting shuttle to take home, and a ball of crochet cotton to take home.
Rebecca, the volunteer educator teaching this workshop, is a local artist who has been tatting for 6 years. You can find her on Twitch and Bluesky @thetravelingtatter.
Ages 16+. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
They use a tiered price structure:
- Ambitious Artist ($14) – This ticket reflects the “true value” of the event.
- Patron of the Arts ($16) – Your extra support contributes to continued ticket accessibility — thank you so much!
- Curious Crafter ($12) – The most accessible option for community members experiencing financial hardship.
- Assistant Crafter ($2) – This ticket is geared toward adults accompanying youth who won’t be crafting independently. The cost of this ticket supports Scrap programming, contributes to continued ticket accessibility, and ensures a space in the workshop for chaperones — thank you so much!
