More Dining News: Salads UP opening at Briarwood
The big restaurant news this week is still the impending opening of Buddy’s Pizza. But, Briarwood Mall has announced that Salads UP will be opening a location in early 2018. They will be in the corridor near Sears which already houses CPK, Chipotle, and Which Wich. This corridor will be renamed the Dining Pavilion and additional seating has been added in the main corridor.
I am excited that this will be part of the “Dining Pavilion.” I’m the only one in my family who orders salads as a meal when we go out. This way, I can order from Salads UP and they can order from one of the other restaurants.

University of Michigan graduates created Salads UP to fill a void in quick service restaurants
ANN ARBOR, MI October 10, 2017 — Briarwood Mall, a Simon mall, invites shoppers and their families to experience Salads UP in early 2018 in the newly-named Dining Pavilion.
Salads UP was created by Robby Mayer and Max Steir, 2013 University of Michigan graduates, to serve healthy food to people on the go. The menu is made up of salads, wraps, grain bowls, acai bowls, smoothies and more. The Briarwood Mall Salads UP will be the third location, following other openings in Ann Arbor and Madison, Wisconsin.
“Salads UP is the perfect addition to Briarwood Mall,” said Denise Murray, director of marketing and business development at Briarwood Mall. “Cultivating retailers that are a true reflection of our community is an ongoing effort that we believe enhances our mall experience.”

Salads UP joins the likes of several food destinations, including California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, Which Wich, and Freshii in the North Sears corridor, now dubbed the Dining Pavilion. This area is the gateway to the new exterior restaurants Bravo! Cucina Italiana and P.F. Chang’s. Dedicated seating has also been added to this corridor to accommodate the high demand.
