Event Description

Head to Greenfield Village, for their new weekend event – All Aboard Adventure. It is a village-wide family-friendly celebration of steam, big machines and classic play. It is a replacement since Thomas the Tank Engine will not be visiting Greenfield Village this year.

Enjoy unlimited steam and diesel train rides designed to spark imagination and behind-the-scenes railway access. You can push a discovery railcar, help maneuver the historic DT&M Roundhouse turntable, sit in the cab of the 1897 D&LN #7 locomotive and watch a working crane in motion.

Little explorers can also climb aboard working emergency and construction vehicles at Detroit Central Market.

There will be lawn games and open-air amusements on the Village Green. Plus, enjoy story times, live music and crafts throughout the day.
