Event Description

Saddle up for an unforgettable evening celebrating Washtenaw County’s agricultural heritage as part of our Bicentennial year!

The Washtenaw County Bicentennial Youth Rodeo & Community Festival brings together residents from across the community for a family-friendly event filled with live entertainment, hands-on activities, local resources, great food, and thrilling rodeo action.

Before the rodeo begins, explore interactive exhibits from Michigan State University Extension and 4-H, meet animals, connect with County departments, enjoy food trucks, challenge your friends to giant yard games, and learn a few new moves during line dancing lessons with Sherry Hawkins. The evening continues with a live concert from Dwayne Spaw before the main event takes center stage.

The rodeo, presented in partnership with Next Generation Bull Riding, will feature amateur and professional bull riders, including professional Saline native Matt Allgood, along with exciting American Freestyle Bull Fighting performances.

Whether you’re a lifelong rodeo fan or experiencing one for the first time, this event offers something for everyone while honoring the farming traditions and rural roots that have helped shape Washtenaw County for the past 200 years.
