Come find lovely blooms popping up through the grasses and sprouting on the forest floor. LSNC invites families—especially mother figures!—and other individuals interested in learning more about our native spring wildflowers to join them for this event.
You will be treated to a short presentation on local wildflowers and then get outside to see what is blooming! Then learn basic plant identification skills using field guides as well as fascinating folklore surrounding some of these plants.
Finally, enjoy teatime with lemonade or iced tea and cookies. Yum!
Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and also to enjoy the Critter House open hours (12–3 p.m.).
There are 2 time slots 10:30a-noon, or 12:30-2p. Registration is required.
