Meet Melissa and her loyal service dog, CoCo, in a heartwarming story about friendship, courage, and independence. Together, they journey through airports, art districts, and everyday adventures, showing that love and teamwork can help overcome obstacles.
Melissa is a differently abled artist who uses a wheelchair and other mobility devices to move through the world with creativity and determination. With CoCo by her side, she faces both joyful and challenging moments in a way that helps readers better understand accessibility, empathy, and the beauty of strength in our differences.
Through thoughtful storytelling, A Tale of a Service Animal introduces children and families to themes of inclusivity, compassion, and the special bond between a service animal and their companion. It is a meaningful event for readers, classrooms, and families alike.
This event includes a signing with books for sale.
For kids in preschool-grade 5 with Adult Caregivers.
