There are typically 3 Ann Arbor Turkey Trots from mid-November through Thanksgiving. Turkey trots are a great way to work off some calories before indulging in your Thanksgiving feast! Run off those calories then indulge in turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pie!
Join a family friendly Turkey Trot Thanksgiving 2025 and start a new family tradition. You can choose to take on one of the 5K runs. Play it safe with a mile race. Or go all out with a 10K or tackle the Iron Turkey for the ultimate challenge.

A2 Turkey Trot
A2 Turkey Trot is held at Hudson Mills Park each year in mid-November (November 9th this year). It features both a 5K and a 10K with an Iron Turkey to run both races (9.3 total miles). They are also offering a virtual race this year.
Turkey Trails Ypsilanti
Turkey Trails was new to our list for 2024. It moves from Rolling Hills to Kensington Metropark for 2025 (November 22). They have a kids dash, a 5K, 10K, and 1 mile race. There is also a virtual option.

Run through Downtown Ann Arbor Thanksgiving morning at the Ann Arbor Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. The 2025 event benefits Chad Tough Foundation.
Turkey Trot at Lillie parkrun on Thanksgiving Day
Lillie parkrun holds walks/runs every Saturday at 9am at Lillie Park South. They typically hold a special Turkey Trot parkrun on Thanksgiving morning. As of September 3, we don’t see a 2025 announcement, but will keep checking back.
The Turkey Trot starts at 9am, please arrive at 8:45 for briefings! The event is FREE!! But, you do need to register for Lille parkrun in advance. Everyone can go at their own pace.
Huffin for the Stuffin – Not in 2024
On September 19, 2024, they announced it will not be held in 2024. As of September 3, that is the last announcement on their Facebook page and the website still has the 2023 information.
Huffin’ for the Stuffin’ is held Thanksgiving morning at Mayberry State Park. They have a virtual option if you don’t want to race in person.
