Went to the Jaycees carnival this afternoon. My daughter had a ton of fun on the rides. I’m seeing a future with lots of trips to Cedar Point & having to ride all the roller coasters with her. She passed up on the carousel as too tame to go on the yellow submarine. I rode that one with her & then we went in the Mardi Gras fun house. The glass maze on the first floor was a lot of fun, but there wasn’t much upstairs except the slide. She had 3 tickets left & we asked again about the carousel, but she wanted to ride the yellow submarine again – this time by herself.
She had a slice of pizza for a snack which she really seemed to enjoy. We left at 5:55 & I’m wondering if they did actually shut down at 6 because it was still hopping.
Earlier in the day, I got a great bargain on school supplies at Meijer. 19cents for a 24 pack of crayons – beating my TRU deal from yesterday. I stocked up for gifts & maybe even birthday party favors with coloring sheets or coloring books.
Had dinner at Bagger Dave’s tonight. Wish they had a Facebook or Twitter profile. Did you know that UofM faculty & staff get 10% off? We didn’t until the waitress saw my husband’s UMID in his wallet.
