Explore different themed sensory and art stations each session to help your child develop fine motor skills and learn about the world through play. Attend Friday or Saturday for the same set of stations.
For Ages 2-6.
- March 13 & 14 – Birds – Make nests out of natural materials, listen to bird calls, and explore bird-themed sensory bins as part of this year’s Family Read.
- April 17 & 18 – Happy Birthday – Explore sensory bins, play pretend bakery, and make art.

Ypsi Family Reads
The Ypsi Family Read program encourages kids and adults to read together with a “One Community, One Book” model. Each spring they choose a book and encourage the community to read, talk, and learn together. For 2026, they chose birding as a topic with 3 books at different reading levels:
- Chapter Book: The Secret Language of Birds by Lynne Kelly
- Early Reader: Mouse and Mole: Fine Feathered Friends by Wong Herbert Yee
- Picture Book: Sparrow Loves Birds by Murry Burgess
