Ypsi Family Reads
The Ypsi Family Read program encourages kids and adults to read together with a “One Community, One Book” model. Each spring they choose a book and encourage the community to read, talk, and learn together. For 2026, they chose birding as a topic with 3 books at different reading levels:
- Chapter Book: The Secret Language of Birds by Lynne Kelly
- Early Reader: Mouse and Mole: Fine Feathered Friends by Wong Herbert Yee
- Picture Book: Sparrow Loves Birds by Murry Burgess
