Event Description

Ypsilanti’s Juneteenth Celebration is in University Bank Ypsilanti parking lot.

Presented by Washtenaw County, City of Ypsilanti, Survivors Speak, and many amazing community partners, this will be more than a parade — this will be a declaration that Juneteenth belongs visibly, boldly, and joyfully in Ypsilanti.

And when the parade ends, the celebration continues with a special Parade Reception Performance by the phenomenal Alise King!

This is freedom on display.
This is culture in motion.
This is unity in the streets.

Parade Grand Marshals: Washtenaw County Commissioner Crystal Lyte, Ypsilanti Mayor Nicole Brown, & Community Organizer Trische Duckworth. Parade performance by Shiawassee

Note, we did not find a specific location for the parade, but the reception is in the University Bank Parking lot.
