Matthaei Botanical Gardens hosts free guided nature walks on select Wednesdays and Sundays.
Native Seed Collecting -Join Native Plant specialist, Calla Butler, as we explore the beauty and role of native plants and the process of collecting and preparing local native seeds for planting. After a brief presentation, we’ll go out and collect seeds that you can take home to plant later! Please note, this particular walk is scheduled until 7:00 PM to provide adequate time for the subject.
Walks are designed for all ages. If there is a large mixed-age group they may split into two sets to offer different levels of engagement. Adults must stay with their children.
No registration required. They recommend gathering 10 min early in the lobby of the Gardens.
