Join instructor Samantha Doerge as she teaches the essential processes and techniques to create your own stop-motion animations (or gifs) using an iPad and Procreate in this three hour crash course for teens ages 14-17 yo.
This workshop will cover the basics of how to develop storylines and characters as well as breakdown simple narrative structures that are helpful specifically for this medium. We’ll then cover how to create movement and push these creative boundaries in ways that can only be achieved through animation. Students will also spend time putting these techniques to use and develop their own short stop-motion animation to help solidify the creative process so that they can continue working with this medium on their own. This is a great course for teens who are interested in creating their own animations (or worlds), but still need help understanding the fundamentals of animating and world-building.
