Ever wonder “Whooo” is behind those mysterious nighttime calls? Join Leslie Science & Nature Center for an Owl Prowl, where you’ll explore the fascinating lives of Michigan’s nocturnal resident owls.
The evening starts with a live owl presentation, learning how these birds of prey survive and thrive at night. Then, set off on a guided hike through the Black Pond Woods, where expert naturalists will reveal the secrets of owl behavior and other forest friends. With any luck, the group might even spot a wild owl in its natural habitat! Along the way, you’ll also discover the dos and don’ts of ethical “owling“ and night hiking.
Be sure to come prepared for an adventurous low-light walk on uneven terrain and moderate hills—no flashlights or headlamps needed.
Tickets are limited. Be sure to book your family’s spot before it fills up.
