Movie Night has not been held at Michigan Stadium since 2019. The 2020-2022 events were casualties of COVID-19.

The end zone scoreboards are being replaced in summer 2023. With the construction, there is not likely to be a movie night this summer.

University of Michigan will again host a Movie Night at Michigan Stadium. We had a great time at the 2018 Movie Night.

Movie Night at Michigan Stadium

The 2019 Movie Night at Michigan Stadium will show Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

In May everyone had the opportunity to vote for the movie. I voted for Goonies, but I am happy with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

My daughter and I saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse on one of the Polar Vortex days off from school. We enjoyed the movie and are looking forward to seeing it again.

Michigan Stadium Movie Night Other Activities

Additional activities will be announced with the movie on June 1. In 2018, they offered activities from 5-7p as described below.

Kids Zone

The Kids Zone will be open from 5-7p inside gate 4. There will be face painting and inflatable games.

Locker Room Tours

Season Ticket Holders only can take a self-guided tour of the locker room from 5-7p. Enter outside the Michigan Stadium Tunnel.

Food

Limited concessions will be available for purchase. Last year we enjoyed both popped maize and shaved ice.

Movie Night Details

Tickets

Movie Night at Michigan Stadium is free. However, tickets are needed. You can request up to 8 tickets and print at home. Season ticket holders can request general admission tickets to sit on the field. The general public will receive general admission seats in sections 8 through 15 in the south end zone. Tickets will be delivered and redeemed electronically. They do not want tickets printed, but redeemed via phones. If you don’t have a smart phone, I am not sure what the accommodation will be.

Parking

Parking will be available in both the athletic lots and at Pioneer High School. Be careful parking in the neighborhoods in case game day restrictions are applied. Last year we parked at Pioneer.

What to Bring

Blankets and pillows are allowed. Lawn chairs are not allowed. With the exception of strollers allowed through the gate, the typical prohibited item list will apply (bags, bottles (including water bottles), food & beverages, umbrellas, and more). Note: While they made the same statement in 2018, I saw plenty of people bringing bags into the stadium.

Weather

In the case of bad weather, check the Michigan Athletics Twitter and Facebook for updates. They cancelled the movie 3 years ago due to thunderstorms.
