Event Description

Henry Ford Museum is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr Day with FREE museum admission. Capacity is limited which may result in entry delays or queues, but reservations are not required.

  • Dr Martin Luther King Jr Chair on display. The chair is from the Jackson home in Selma which is being added to Greenfield Village.
  • Interactive Coloring Wall in the Driving America “Car Court”
  • 10a, 11a, 12:15 & 1:45p – Words of Freedom: Excerpts from Dr Martin Luther King Jr & President Lyndon B Johnson – Live performance by actors reciting from Dr King’s most famous speeches and President Johnson’s congressional address urging passage of Voting Rights Act of 1965
  • noon & 1:30p – Musical Performance – Brazeal Dennard Chorale
