Children ages five and younger and their caregivers will find that music comes alive during this 30-minute concert. Don’t worry about wiggly tots sitting still for a concert – they will be encouraged to dance and move while listening to the music, hearing a story being told with musical accompaniment and learning about a special orchestral instrument. Members of the A2SO lead children on a guided introduction to the instruments of the orchestra.
Registration is not required.
This event is for babies through preschoolers.
Each year, more than 25,000 kids experience the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra in their schools, libraries and communities. Through these interactions they grow their musical curiosity, they grow their listening skills, and they grow their love of music.
For 2026-2027, Kinderconcerts have been announced for the full year instead of one at a time. The first session is in September. The second session is in January. The third and final session is in May. Kinderconcerts are held at Ann Arbor (Downtown), Chelsea, Dexter, Saline, and Ypsilanti (Whittaker Branch) libraries.
Come join the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra for a fun-filled KinderConcert!
