Event Description

Enjoy refreshments and join local community organizations Black Men Read and AACHM as we explore what Blackness means to us and our society. Black Men Reads will present a storytime, there will be a sensory tent, a Phase 10 tournament, and a range of other activities that will highlight Black inventions and accomplishments.

This program is a part of YDL-Michigan’s month-long celebration of Black History Month. With a focus on local Black history, Black futures, and Black excellence, this series highlights the theme for Black History Month 2026, A Century of Black History Commemorations.” 

Light refreshments will be provided.
