Reading Recommendations: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Is your child looking for new reading material? My daughter loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. She started reading them when she was in the second grade. The latest book was released today.

Double Down – Book 11

Double Down, the 11th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series was released today. I asked if she wanted the book and she said absolutely. I pre-ordered the book on Amazon and it shipped for arrival today. We have some time between school and an after-school activity, so she hopes it arrives before I pick her up at school.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I remember she wasn’t allowed to start one of the books until our flight for spring break. She started reading it on the way to the airport, while we waited to board, and on the airplane. She finished the book before reaching Chicago, our layover on the way to San Diego. I had to buy her the next book at the airport so she would have something to read on the second flight. Even as a fifth grader, she still loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.
