Enjoying a Crazy S'Mores Milkshake from M Street Baking Co

Over the Top Milkshakes at M Street Baking Co

Spread the love

Over the top milkshakes have become so popular.. Most of the local posts came from M Street Baking Co in Howell and a new location in Novi’s Twelve Oaks Mall. For Spring Break, my daughter and I went on a day trip to Whiting Forest’s Canopy Walk and added a slight detour for these extreme milkshakes on the way home.

M Street Baking Co offered 4 milkshakes during our visit: Birthday Party, Chocolate Trip, S’mores, and Cookies ‘N Cream. My daughter and I each decided to try a different milkshake.

Cookies ‘N Cream Milkshake

I ordered a Cookies ‘N Cream Milkshake. The Cookies ‘N Cream Milkshake is an Oreo milkshake topped with a mini-cupcake, Oreos, Hershey’s Cookies ‘N Cream Bar, White Kit Kat, and more.

S’mores Milkshake

My daughter ordered a S’mores Milkshake. The S’mores Milkshake tasted like toasted marshmallow. It was topped with a mini-cupcake, toasted marshmallows, graham cracker, and squares from a Hershey chocolate bar.

Making the Milkshake

Each Milkshake is made to order. It took 5-10 minutes to prepare our milkshakes. The preparation area is behind glass and you can watch them preparing the shakes.

There is a small seating area at M Street Bakery. While we were waiting for our milkshakes, the staff would clean tables as they became available and seat guests waiting for their order. They seated us a few minutes before our milkshakes were ready. In addition, there are a couple of tables outside. They also offered self-serve glasses and water.

Review of Milkshakes

We both enjoyed our milkshakes. We did manage to finish, but were definitely maxed out on sugar. Personally, I preferred the Cookies ‘N Cream to the S’mores. The toasted marshmallow flavor was too much for me. I am also interested in trying the Chocolate Trip on a future visit. My daughter also said she wants to try the Chocolate Trip next time. The Birthday Cake milkshake is too much pure sugar for me – cotton candy, rock candy, and more.

While we both ordered our own shakes, the milkshakes could definitely be shared for a smaller treat.

Each milkshake cost $10. While the cost is steep, it is a definite special treat experience. Personally, I am glad that M Street Baking Co. is not too close to Ann Arbor. I would not want the treats all the time – either for the calories or the cost.

Other Products

Milkshakes definitely seem to be their most popular product. It seemed like everyone had a milkshake ordered. However, they also offer a wide variety of baked goods including cupcakes, cannoli, bagels, cookies, and edible cookie dough. Honestly, the milkshakes are enough that we did not want other baked goods. They also offer floats and hot beverages.

  1. These milkshakes are all show. They are flavorless and nothing more than “Instagram candy”. It works on a marketing aspect but it’s a schtick that will wear out soon. They’ll have to find something else to stick 2 days worth of sugar on top to sell.
