When is Ann Arbor Spring Break?
All Washtenaw County Public Schools have the same spring break. 2025 Spring Break for Ann Arbor Public Schools is March 24-28, 2025. Ypsilanti Community Schools, Lincoln Consolidated School District, Saline Area Schools, Dexter Community Schools, and others in the county are also off the same week.

Spring Break Camp Experience
I’ll never forget the day, that my then first grader came running out of her classroom excitedly waving the list of Ann Arbor Rec & Ed Spring Break camps. She was so excited that they had a Star Wars camp and was begging to attend!
She was heart-broken when I told her she couldn’t do it. She had to settle for a trip to Universal Studios and Disney World. We could have saved so much money just sending her to a week of camp!
We did make it up to her with Jedi Training Academy at Disney World and a week of Rec & Ed Star Wars camp that summer.. It’s hard to believe this was 11 years ago.
Ann Arbor Spring Break Camp Listings
In 2024 we are starting to see more camps return for spring break. However, the trend of announcing camps closer to the camp date continues. For example, as of mid-January Ann Arbor Rec & Ed has not yet announced 2024 Spring Break Camps. Last year they only offered half-day camps. But for winter-break they offered both half and full day camps. Hopefully they will continue with options for spring break camp 2024.
For each of the camp programs below, we have listed whether they are full day or half day, whether registration is a week long or by the day, and which children ages they are for.

Washtenaw County sets their winter and spring break schedule in 5 year batches. Break is currently announced through 2026. The formula for calculating future dates is included in the article. However, that formula may change after 2026. They did previously move spring break from the first week of April to the last week of March.
