Event Description

Celebrate University of Michigan Football at their annual Spring Open Practice (Game) on Saturday, April 18 at 2p. The gates will open at 1p.

We originally found the date from an announcement from the Marching Band inviting high school students to join them in playing at the game. (registration deadline was April 1)

Admission to the 2026 UM Spring Game

Admission to the UMich Spring Game is FREE!! The game starts at 2p. The gates will open at 1p.

Where to Enter for UMich Spring Game

No announcements have been made yet, but typically most entrances are open (except the years there was stadium construction).

Where to Sit at the Michigan Football Spring Game 2026

There are no tickets or reserved seats for the game. We attended in 2025 with my UM student meeting us at the game. We sat in the Northeast corner.

Post Game Signing Event

After the game, Champions Circle is hosting a ticketed signing event at Al Glick Field House with the newest members of team 147. Tickets are $150 general admission and $300 for VIP access.

Where to Park for Michigan Spring Game 2026

Parking is typically limited for the spring game and the city of Ann Arbor usually enforces game day parking restrictions.

University lots near the stadium are available. Last year they were FREE! for the spring game – No parking at the golf courses.
- ADA Parking is usually available in parking area east of the William Davidson Development Center.
- Brown & Maize lots on S. State St south of the stadium
- University Lots W32, W39 & W40 at S. Fifth Ave & John St & Thompson St Structure
City Parking Structures on S. Fifth, William, and Maynard.
On Street Parking in select neighborhoods – but game day restrictions apply.

Parking is available at Pioneer High School, but they are not allowing tailgating. Parking is $36 and can be reserved in advance.

We parked in the Thompson St Garage. It was a convenient location for my UM freshman to walk over and meet us (from the Hill dorms)

Where Not to Park for Michigan Spring Game 2026

Even more important than where to park, is where not to park for the Michigan spring game. City of Ann Arbor Game Day parking restrictions are typically enforced for the Spring Game.

There is typically not parking at the UM or AAGO Golf Courses.

Stadium Details

Prohibited Items

The standard game day prohibitions are in place for the spring game. This includes no bags in the stadium. Exceptions will be made for those with medical needs or childcare needs (ie diapers). All attendees and items are subject to search.

If you are bringing items, be prepared that entry may take longer. Please try to pack light.

Shopping

MDen typically has shops open.

Select concession stands are usually open during the game with a variety of options including alcoholic beverages. Note: Concessions are now cashless.

When she was younger, my daughter was much more entertained at the game when she could have snacks. She was definitely impressed with the giant bags of Maize ready to be dispensed the last time we went to a game as a family.
