Join Saturday’s Soulful Celebration at Ypsilanti’s 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration Weekend.

The 2026 theme is  Juneteenth Rising: Liberation Through Unity 

From the sounds of inspiration to the energy of culture, this day will be filled with music, community, and Black excellence on full display!

 HEADLINING THE MAIN STAGE:

Along with an incredible lineup of featured performers bringing soul, rhythm, poetry, dance and hometown flavor all day long!

Celebrate Juneteenth in Ann Arbor

Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19. In recent years, events honoring Juneteenth have increased and several camps have chosen to treat the day as a holiday.

Juneteenth is a celebration of African American freedom from slavery dating back to June 19th, 1865 when news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas.
