The Jewish Community Center is having a Sing Along in honor of Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday.
Matasha Allen, a long-time teacher in the JCCs Early Childhood Program will host the event which will include the Ypsilanti Youth Orchestra Jazz Ensemble & Ypsilanti Youth Choir from 3-3:45p. Then there will be a break from 3:45-4p for snacks. Then from 4-5p there will be “Freedom School” workshop rotations focusing on Academics, Citizenship, and the Arts.
Matasha Allen, is an advocate for music education and the use of music to connect to the Civil Rights Movement.
