Christmas tree lightings and parades all draw crowds and are a risk for 2020. However there are still some local events happening with social distancing precautions.
Note: With cases on the rise in November, it is possible that changes will be made before events happen. If you know of one we missed, let us know in the comments.

Ann Arbor Christmas Tree Lightings
When I originally looked in early November, I only found a tree lighting ceremony in Saline. However, that event has been canceled since the emergency order that went into effect on November 18 limiting outdoor gatherings to 25 people. Based on this, I am assuming other places will also not be holding tree lighting ceremonies. I hope that locations continue to light their trees, and just skip the first lighting ceremony.

Ann Arbor Christmas Parades
Instead of a parade, Santa will drive through various Milan neighborhoods. However, other cities have canceled their parades. Saline was planning a reverse parade, but that has been canceled due to increased restrictions on gatherings.
