Celebrate Homecoming near Ann Arbor this fall at our high schools and universities. For the students the big events are typically the football game and the homecoming dance. But, many of the schools offer activities for the public beyond just the game. There are parades, pep rallies, and of course the football games.
When my daughter started at Skyline, one of the things I loved about their homecoming parade is that it is open to all school groups, not just the sports. The parade will include all kinds of sports teams, the marching band, and school clubs.
Homecoming at Ann Arbor High Schools
Of the 3 comprehensive AAPS high schools, Skyline typically is the only one with a parade.
Skyline High School Homecoming – October 3
Spirit Week: September 29-October 3
Parade: October 3 at 5:30p
Game: October 3 7p vs Pioneer
Dance: Saturday night, October 4
Skyline’s homecoming celebration starts with Spirit Week the week before the game with various activities and theme days.
Join them for a parade featuring the sports teams, marching bands, and various other clubs. Many of the groups distribute candy, so bring a bag to catch candy. There will be food trucks on campus between the parade and the game.
Huron High School Homecoming – October 17

Pep Rally: Friday, October 17

Dance: Saturday night, October 18

The Pep Rally is typically Friday afternoon at the end of the school day.
Pioneer High School Homecoming – October 23

Dance: Saturday night, October 24
Pioneer will have a pep rally on Friday.
They play Pinckney in their 2025 homecoming game.

Saline High School homecoming is on September 19. Last year they had a parade on Campus Parkway at 5p. As of September 9, we haven’t seen any details on a 2025 parade
Lincoln High School Homecoming – September 26

Dance: September 27 at 7p
5K & Fun Run: October 4 at 8a
Lincoln High School’s Homecoming is September 26. Last year they had a big celebration as they celebrated their Centennial. This year returns to just a parade and then the dance for the high school
The 5K & Fun Run is now the week after homecoming..
Whitmore Lake High School Centennial Homecoming – September 26

Whitmore Lake High School is having a homecoming parade down Main St in Whitmore Lake to Barker Rd.
Milan High School Homecoming – October 3

Game: October 3: 7p vs St Mary Catholic Central
Dance: Saturday night, October 4
Milan’s Homecoming includes both a pre-game food truck rally at the high school and a parade in downtown Milan.
After the parade, join them for the football game.

Manchester junior/senior high school has their homecoming parade at 4:15p before their 7p football game,
Dexter High School Homecoming – October 10

Dexter has their homecoming parade on Friday, October 10. They have their parade on Friday afternoon during the school day. The parade typically passes near all of the Dexter schools so that they can watch the parade go by.
Chelsea High School Homecoming – October 10

As of September 9, we did not find any details on a parade.
We will keep checking back for updates. Last year the Chelsea High School Homecoming parade was at 5:15p and ran from the parking lot behind Smokehouse 52 to the WSEC Parking lot.

University Homecoming near Ann Arbor
University of Michigan homecoming is October 4. Next year we will try to update the information before their homecoming. One of the highlights is the Marching Band’s Open Stadium Rehearsal! I had a great time last year.
Eastern Michigan University Homecoming is September 19-20. Check out all of their fun homecoming events. Tailgating starts at 12:30p for the 3:30p game. One of our readers let us know that ECA will have a chili cook-off at the tail gate party.
