Gingerbread Houses and Gingerbread People cookies are a traditional part of the holiday season. But they can be a mess to make at home. We’re lucky that there are typically a number of Ann Arbor Gingerbread Events that let you make the gingerbread house somewhere else.
We will continue to add events as we see them announced.
Ongoing Gingerbread House Displays Near Ann Arbor
Gingerbread houses will be on display in the windows at Susan Jacobs, CPA, PC (102 E. Middle St) in Chelsea from December 2-January 8 as part of their Hometown Holiday celebration. Want to do more than look? You can sign up to contribute a gingerbread house – drop off is in November.
Ann Arbor Gingerbread Events
There are events to make real Gingerbread Houses, fake Gingerbread houses, and Gingerbread Contests. In the past (pre-pandemic) Dexter Creamery had regular Gingerbread workshops. This year they are closed for the winter. Go! Ice Cream also held an annual gingerbread cookie decorating event, but they closed in October 2023.
While we’ve lost these Gingerbread specific events, we’ve seen an increase in general Cookie Decorating events. We’ve decided to add the Cookie Decorating events as well below.
