A re-imagining of the Nutcracker story set in 20th century America, in “Clara’s Dream” young Clara and her family are having a Christmas Party complete with a live jazz band. Clara is given a Nutcracker doll as her aunties and cousin and all their friends dance the night away. As the magical dolls come to life, Clara and her cousin defend her beloved Nutcracker against the evil Queen Mouse. Shakespeare’s accessible and only farce, plenty of visual humor for the kids not to mention an easily understood text. Get kids involved and enjoying live theatre and Shakespeare at an early age – much better than video games, movies, electronic devices, etc.
