Randazzo Dance Company proudly presents its 53rd annual holiday production “The Nutcracker with a Twist.” The renowned score by Tchaikovsky is set to choreography that showcases the talent of the Company. “Twist” features the full Company, and will feature many dancer debuts in new roles, showcasing the vast talent within the Company and providing many opportunities for dancers to shine.
The Nutcracker is adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann’s story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The story follows the wondrous journey of young Clara, who receives a nutcracker as a gift at her family’s Christmas Eve party. Later that night, her nutcracker is magically revealed as a handsome prince, who leads her through an enchanted forest and on to the Nutcracker Prince’s Kingdom.
The Nutcracker with a Twist runs December 16-18. Friday night performance at 7:30pm with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3pm.
