Big Play Day

Mark you calendars for June 23!

Is it Hanukkah or Chanukah?

There is no direct translation from the Hebrew and both Hanukkah and Chanukah are used in English for the Jewish holiday. The AP Style Guide suggests using Hanukkah so that is what we have used in our article.

In the event listings below we have used the spelling used by the event announcement. This results in a mix of Hanukkah and Chanukah in our Hanukkah celebrations near Ann Arbor.

When is Hanukkah?

For 2023, Hanukkah starts on the evening of Thursday, December 7. It ends at sundown on Friday, December 15.
