The First Steps PTO is delighted to announce this year’s KidFest on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 3-5:00p! Once again it is outside at Leslie Science & Nature Center. Joe Reilly performs his fabulous family concert as the First Steps Early Childhood program celebrates 25 years of offering their wonderful program to families in our community. Join the fun and help raise scholarship funds so more families can participate this year. There’s a lot happening at the 12th annual KidFest!

Join them at 3p for activities especially for families. Local preschools and businesses participate for the first hour. They share more about their programs AND offer fun things to do and make. Come and see all the wonderful businesses.

Joe Reilly begins the KidFest family concert at 4p with songs that will get you moving. He encourages active participation with dancing and singing. Concert ends at approximately 4:45p. Joe Reilly’s performance is underwritten by Allen Creek Preschool.

Food Trucks: They’re hoping to have the Goodie Truck and a second Food Truck on-site for people to purchase items as they choose. These are for the public to enjoy and do not provide additional scholarship funds for the PTO.

KidFest is entirely outside so be sure to bring blankets to sit on and snacks and water for your family. Folding chairs are welcome when placed at the back of the area. There is access to an indoor bathroom too. Please purchase tickets ahead of time so you receive helpful reminders. Tickets are also available onsite.

Online Silent Auction: Saturday, May 30th, 8a – Monday June 1st, noon. Bidding opens on Saturday, May 30 at 8a. Be sure to see all the great offerings and keep track of the ones you want.

Bidding is all online and will close on Monday, June 1st at NOON. If you’re a winner, gift cards and certificates will be mailed or emailed to the winners and all other items will either be picked up at the Westerman Preschool & Family Center, 2775 Boardwalk Dr or, if you live in Ann Arbor it might be delivered to your home. This will be arranged after you’ve been awarded the item.
