Gather at Hudson Mills Metropark for a autumnal lantern walk celebration. The event starts as you make your own lantern decorated in seasonal colors. Then, you’ll take a dark, quiet meditative walk through the woods.
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 45 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk 3/4 miles. It will conclude at the Hudson Mills Activity Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel. The planned path grade is slightly hilly and not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience necessary. Time includes personal or group instruction. For maximum enjoyment, some of the program time will require participants to patiently remain quiet and listen closely. Group discussion will be encouraged. A group interactive activity or game with instructions will be involved.
