Join Michigan Master Naturalist, Doug Jackson, to see Sandhill Cranes preparing for their fall migration. The group will car pool from the lower parking lot to view cranes in the fields around the Waterloo Recreation Area. They’ll then stop at the Haehnle Sanctuary to see the birds coming in to their nighttime roosting area.
Visitors can expect to see some of these magnificent birds at close range. Bring binoculars and cameras. The building is closed so program will be entirely outdoors.
Cost: $2/person or $5/family with State Recreation Passport.
