The Saline Merry Mile is a 1 mile race/run on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline along the annual holiday parade route . It kicks off shortly after the tree lighting, but before the parade starts.
The race will start at the 4 corners (Ann Arbor Street and Michigan Avenue) and run east on Michigan Ave until a turnaround point just before Old Creek/Maple. Once the runners turn around, they will head west on Michigan Avenue until they reach the finish line, west of the 4 corners. The race has both a downhill start and finish. This is the only opportunity to run on Michigan Ave as the road is only closed 2 times per year.
The race will start at 5:30pm after the tree is lit. It will finish by 6p so the holiday parade can start on time. This is a great run for adults and children and is a great entry level race for beginning runners as well as a competitive event for seasoned athletes.
Registered adults can have 2 runners 10 & under join them for free! The kids also get the race t-shirt, etc.
