Join Independence Lake in celebrating one of the shortest days of the year.
Weather, trail type and trail conditions will dictate which trail will be lit. Path will be about 1 mile.
There will be a campfire, s’mores and hot cocoa. Trail is not plowed in snowy conditions. Dog walkers welcome.
In past years, the listing said if conditions are right there might be a special guest from the North Pole. There is no message of a special visitor this year.
Dress for the weather and be prepared for slippery trails since they are not maintained in the winter.
The event is $15/family or household up to 4 members. Only one person needs to register per family of 4.
Vehicle entry fee is required ($6/day for county residents, $10/day for non-residents or $30/year for county residents or $45/year for non-residents).
