Event Description

Join AADL to learn about traditional folk music from the Hengchun Peninsula of southern Taiwan. Starry Wang, Ph.D. candidate in Ethnomusicology at the University of Michigan School of Music Dance and Theater, will gives this talk in advance of “Sound of Music from Taiwan’s Hengchun Peninsula” on April 27th.

The lecture is followed by a DIY workshop: sanding and assembling a decorative miniature model of Yueqin, the instrument featured in the musical on April 27.

This event is a partnership between AADL and the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization.
