Island Park is on an island in the Huron River. It is a great park with a small structure and also to splash in the river. The river is shallow and slow moving.

This morning I was invited to the grand re-opening VIP celebration for the McDonalds on Lohr Road. After buying the restaurant in August 2015, owner Monique Vann-Brown undertook a remodeling project this spring. New stores are opening at Briarwood Mall this spring. New stores include Love Culture, RJ Heavenly Delights, and more. With a daughter rapidly approaching her teen years, I was excited about Love Culture, a teen store. Then, I looked at their website. I don’t see us shopping there. I definitely wouldn’t consider young teens to be their market.
